The County of Nevada Department of Housing and Community Services will conduct a public meeting on February 11, 2026 at 6 p.m. , at the Providence Mine Room located on the second floor of the Eric Rood Center, 950 Maidu Ave. Nevada City, California 95959 to discuss possible applications for funding under the State Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program and to gather residents’ ideas for possible activities to be included in the application.

The County of Nevada anticipates submitting an application during the next CDBG program year. The County has the potential to receive up to $3.6 million in CDBG Program Income.

The purpose of this hearing is to review CDBG eligible activities and collect residents’ views on housing and community development needs (which includes services, facilities, and/or infrastructure that will improve livability within the community).
