The Tahoe Housing Hub is excited to announce the launch of the Accessory Dwelling Unit Accelerator Program, inspired by Hello Housing’s successful “Hello ADU program”.
Our program is designed to help homeowners, like you, tap into the full potential of your property while helping address one of North Lake Tahoe-Truckee’s biggest challenges, housing availability and affordability.
Do you own a property in North Lake Tahoe or Truckee? If you do, we want to partner with you as your representative to guide you through every step of the ADU process. These projects can feel overwhelming, and whether you’re unsure where to begin or have hit a roadblock along the way, we’re here to provide the support you need to keep things moving forward.
As a participant in the ADU Accelerator Pilot Program, you’ll receive the following services at no cost:
Project Planning
- Personalized consultations to discuss your needs and goals
- Site assessments and feasibility studies
- Design team selection and support
- Guidance through regulatory compliance and the permitting process

The ADU Accelerator is funded by TOT-TBID Dollars at Work, which funds programs/projects that promote community vitality, environmental stewardship, and economic health in North Lake Tahoe. The program is also supported by a grant from the Martis Fund. Their financial commitment provides a solid foundation that will enable us to launch our operations and sustain our activities for two years. This support validates the relevance of our mission and the potential impact of our work in the North Lake Tahoe-Truckee region.
